Introduction

Deelen Airbase Museum is located at the Hoenderloseweg 10, a stunning location on the road Hoenderloo-Schaarsbergen.
Appropriate because it is a former German building and was recently given the listed status. It accommodates 2 large and 3 smaller exhibition spaces, a meeting room, workshop, office, archive and an extensive library.

More than 25 volunteers with very diverse backgrounds and their own specialization, are now joined together by common interest in history. Together they man the museum, maintain the building, research, extend and maintain the collections and undertake various projects. All necessary funds come from the volunteers themselves, sponsors, donations and income from entrance fees.
Increasingly Museum Aerodrome Deelen is asked to function as a Knowledge Center. We are consulted for example for the research for the monuments application, for activities of other clubs or associations, or historical research for books. We help where we can in , in word and deed,
Several times a year we also participate in (aviation) historical events and exhibitions.

All articles, photographs, uniforms, etc. are completely authentic, usually as a result of years of research. Therefore, Deelen Museum is a “Museum full of stories.” Each object has a story that we like to convey personal tours. A unique formula, which, judging by our guestbook, is very much appreciated.

Donations:
The museum receives more and more donations. Not only money but objects, photographs, book collections and even complete archives of amateur historians. We are very happy to get these, and with us it is in good hands. Do you have something that may be important to us ? Then we like to hear from you
